This past weekend we spent at the Oregon coast with the Parlas and Christensons. It was gorgeous weather and super fun times to be had by all. Heather;s family has a sweet 70's style cabin in Rockaway, between Canon beach and Tillamook. We relaxed, enjoyed the ocean which we hadnt seen in months! Jon and the boys had some days surfing, as you'll see below. Aspen had her first experience with sand and the ocean water. She loves it! Actually a little too much... she starting licking the sand... hopefully she'll grow out of that one! She is like 25 pounds now I think and she is going to be such a good dog- you'll notice I said "going to be" haha. well she is less than 4 months old and she still goes for everything with her mouth. I have to say though, we can already tell she will be great- she has a lovely demeanor and is learning her commands very well. She knows sit, stay, come, lay down, and were working on "off." We had a great weekend with the 6 of us. Those folks are some of the neatest people we've ever met. We'll have many more fun times to be had as our families grow... Courtneys pregnant! and due in October. and us... welp we have a baby puppy if that counts!
grrr. these pictures are messing up.. check back later when we have this fixed...
We are still figuring out the house thing. We've gotten lots of input about the market and the steps to buying a house that we are listening to and attempting to make the best decision . Currently we have decided to move out of our current place at the end of May, since our landlord decided they didn't want Aspen here. We will be moving in with friends for a short while, or finding another rental... probably depends on if we decide we want to keep looking for a house... or sign in to rent 1 more year. Big decisions!
Jons new hobbie is learning how to play the guitar and I have to say I'm enjoying it lots! There's nothing like waking up to your amazing husband figuring his way around on the strings. He's been learning how to be a sound engineer and is loving that. Soon he'll be running the whole sound board on his own- which is bigger than you might think! Doesn't this kid belong in the 70's!

Summer is comin round the bend and we are sooo looking forward to it! Community music and fairs ever night, strolls along the river, floating, concerts, weddings galore! Lots is happening and hopefully we'll keep you clued in on this blog thing. We love to hear your comments

I'm always amazed at how far Jon gets off the ground. I think he has springs for feet. Not only did you find a beautiful place but you have a great group of friends. I miss you lots but am thankful for where you landed. You two are really enjoying the life you found and created in Bend. And the most important thing is you are really happy!!
Love Mom
