Painting...

So I told a few of you that I would post a picture of the painting I did... here ya go.

So I wanted something colorful for our kitchen- it's a picture of two persimmons, and thats Bon Appetit in Portuguese! I would any tips- maybe my Aunt Denise could give me a lesson when were down there in California sometime. So.. I did this during a girls night last weekend. The guys got together and played poker, and us girls painted. It was actually really fun! I'm not quite an amzing natural, but I like it alot. I'm hoping to quit my job and start selling art...

...just kidding! haha, I am actually loving ym work right now. We just got our real furniture and my office is starting to look pretty professional. I'll take pictures when I have it all set up. Any wwwwhays, I'll see ya laters... hopefully Jon will update soon.

Finally had a minute to check your blog and saw the painting you told me about. I like it and very proud that you wrote something in Portuguese (sp). I'm sure Aunt Denise will gladly give you some pointers. She loves the fact that you are painting. Maybe when you are in Santa Rosa you could go see her. Her studio is set up and it would be easier for her to show you some things there. Here's our new address 2416 Berrywood Drive, Rancho Cordova, 95670. And our new number 858-8377. Unpacking is coming along but we are both ansty to get out in the yard. All our trees and fence survived that last storm. Uncle Dennis will be up here next weekend to do more things on the house. It's great having him around. Love you both. Mom

Hey Jamie, I think it's super that you're painting and I love your bold colors. Sometime when you're in Santa Rosa we could get together. One of my favorite drawing books, if you're interested. is 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain', by Betty Edwards. It's a fun book and I based a lot of my teaching by it because her methods really work.
Take care,
Love Aunt Denise
PS Your new hair cut looks great!!!
