We came back from our California trip to find our garden had quadrupled in size! See the "Before and After" our small squash plants... then our jungle of squash, zucchini, and tomatoes in the back- they stand about 3 feet tall now! Mmm.. we get about 5 cherry tomatoes every day now and a larger one about every other day. Store bought just can't hold a candle. It has been a blast for me to watch our seeds grow into this forest. I'm excited to have a place of our own some day and have even more space to grow!
When we settled back into the Bend groove we made it up to Elk lake with the Christensons (Courtney is getting huge! The babies due in late October) You can see the tiny little frog that we were captivated by.
The next weekend we made it out to Paulina Lake with the Parlas and little Samantha. What a cutie! She sure is getting some personality which Jon and I love. This is her first attempt at trying watermelon. I hear that now she eats it all the time! So we took the boat out with them.. couldn't get the motor started so just BBQ'ed up some hot dogs on the beach. Later that week we find the boat in our back property. What?! Yup the Parlas just gifted the Sea Serpent to us... we'll have to get some oars I think. Unless you know of any one who has an old motor they want to give us as well!
