This past weekend we took a day trip out to the Painted Hills near John Day. Its about 1 hour 45 mins north east of Bend. Thought you might enjoy some pics. We drove out with our friends: Heather, Anthony, Courtney, and Gary. We had such a blast- these hills are crazy! They look as if they would just blow away in the wind, but if you get close they are made of this really porous clay.

We took some classic "band photos" (no were actually not a band, but it was fun anyway) This town near the painted hills is pretty much a little ghost town, all abandoned buildings (or seemingly), with a mountain cafe, and bed and breakfast, and a gas station with a pet black bear in a cage. Crazy I know- but they really keep this black bear there. Mitchell is the town- look the place up.

That looks sweet! Except for the fact that we were not invited!!!!
yeah dude painted hills are cool. How long did it take for you guys to paint those, thats pretty sweet that you guys are all into painting and stuff now. If you get really good and start painting more then just stripes and stuff mabye you could sell a hill or to for a couple mil. I require 10% for the idea though. peace.
