We'll everyone, we are still in Bend and are having a great time here. The people are very warm and friendly. God has been taking good care of us. On wednesday, we were driving around in the cold doing a little job searching. We were feeling a bit discouraged and missing home a lot. Our familys are precious to us and its been hard being 9ish hours away. So when we were at a pretty low point, we decided to seek out some Christian fellowship. We went to a prayer meeting at Oasis Christian Church and had some prayers answered in amazing ways. We walked in and met a couple, John and Sue, who are about our parents ages. When they heard our story they immediately offered their home to us for a warm place to stay. After spending a night in our car on one of the coldest nights this year, it was a welcomed offer. We have no doubt this was and is Gods answered prayer! The people we met were genuine and loving and we never had a doubt about their motive. Its nice to find people out there who just genuinely want to help. We hope that some day we can have such an open home and offer a place for people to stay. John and Sue remind us a bit of out parents, with their hearts of hospitality. So in a place far from home we are still so blessed!
So we are staying in a little log cabin decorated French style- its pretty cute! They open their little apartment to all kinds of people and have people staying there alot. Our tentative plan is to stay here until sunday and go to church ( Oasis Church ) and then hit the road again to see the rest of Oregon. Today it's a bit rainy, so were inside staying cozy.
**Especially for our parents: We know that not everyone shares our beliefs or agrees with what we are doing, but please know that we love you and are following our hearts. We are happy and more in love than ever. We don't want you to worry, but I'm not sure we can do anything about that, because it seems to be a little bit of what being a parent is about. But we do wish you could be here so we could show you we are ok. Trust us and trust God.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Hi Jamie and Jon! It's so great to stay updated on your journey and see how God is working through you two. Let us know if you would like a place to stay in the Portland area, I'm sure my parents would be happy to have you over. Many prayers coming your way!

I think that quote was meant to inspire courage, not foolishness, surely God wants you to use all your talents to keep yourselves safe.
