Today was a pretty nice day. We started slow with some chocolate-chip apple pancakes. mm mmmm. We had lunch with some new friends the Bantons. The guy that Jon met at the random house who connected him to the potential job. They have been in touch since. We went to this local burger place where you can drive up park, order, and they deliver to your car. Kinda funky, but we went in and sat down. I was fun to get to know new people who we have feeling will be a part of our lives up here in Bend. We finished that afternoon with a cold walk to our favorite coffee shop 6 blocks from our house. The chai and latte were perfect as we finished reading Fahrenheit 451. We both read it in highschool and wanted to read it again. Good read. Sometimes I think our fast paced world parallels the story, just not as extreme.
We are taking time to slow down here, seeing that we are still waiting to hear from jobs. We want to take advantage of the time we have because it certainly wont always be like this. I am loving that we have snow in our front yard and the sun shines almost everyday. Here are some pics of our beautiful mountains. Enjoy!
Jon jammin on the Equadorean flute with our pup, rocky. He was our friends, so now he's ours too by default.

Here is a random pic from the towns Christmas parade. Thats a guy on practice nordic skis!

Here are the mountains. Overcast skies today, we'll have better ones later.
