Good times

Welp,

We made it back along the gray currants arrived safely at home. I began work on Wednesday and so far so good. The first day was a little gruesome with non stop sleet, rain, and freezing rain but progress was still made. The second day was crisp, clear and sunny as was Friday with one or two snow flurries. Seems like it will be a fun job as I learn more about the trade and practice; staking out centerlines for new roads, locating and staking utilities, mapping and gaining data of land, etc...

Anyways... last night was a fun outing. Snowshoeing a few miles into a sweet shelter in Victoria Meisser state park. When the wind picked up we headed back down the hill. Unfortunately, the moon was veiled behind the clouds so our moonlit stroll was turned into a fun nighthike. We went with a group of about 15 peeps so we had a full crew. We tried to boil some water on the wood stove in the shelter for some tasty beverages but it only made about a cup and a half of lukewarm water for all the peeps. Great times though, it was a solid time of adventurein'. (We hiked into the Miesser Shelter I think)

Hi Jamie (and Jon),

I'm so glad I finally got to talk to you today! It sounds like you guys are truly following the Lord one day at a time and having a fun and blessed time doing it. I can't wait to see what He does through you and in you as you settle into your life in Oregon. Hope to talk to you again soon,

Love, Leah

I'd just like to argue that I think I'm a pretty consistent commenter so I don't know why my name is on the list. If you want more comments, ask questions, or make me think about something:)

Hi Jamie-
A bit off topic. I got your letter (and obviously followed the direction to "check out our Blog".
Its been exceptionally cold here in Davis, as well (below freezing). Its almost enough to make me consider wearing long pants instead of shorts.

Hi John and Jamie! Everything sounds so wonderful out there and cold!!!!

Brrr! Speaking of cold, it snowed in the Malibu mountains in Los Angeles the other day. Can you believe that? Dustin and our cats made it safely to Pittsburgh after being stuck in Amarillo, Texas for three days. We are both doing really well and I'm enjoying reading about your adventures!
